Irony... Cantha is left out for once
If you haven't noticed, the News screen at the GW login splash has announced Halloween festivites... in Tyria and Elona. That's got to be Anet's first departure from Canthan exclusivity in I don't remember how long.
It's time for MAD KING SAYS! ...hopefully.

I dont think they are leaving cantha out on purpose. Im pretty sure tyria is only getting it because they already have halloween skins for it.

They are just trying to even out the odds OR they are just keeping with the theme of Cantha which likely doesn't do/participate in the Halloween type things.

I can't imagine some snow falling in Kaineng or Shing Jea, really.
But I have to agree that Tyria gets Halloween this year because they have the skins from last year so it's not to hard to tweak stuff here and there. |

Nightfall is coming out...Factions is no longer their little pet...no more events
The only reason Tyria gets any love is, like already said, it already has skins for Halloween so they don't have to make any. |

Factions will continue to get the Dragon Festival, and likely will get Wintersday. Tyria is getting Halloween because it's a Tyrian event, the Mad King is Tyrian. Likely Elona is getting it to give the release for those that only bought Nightfall a bit of extra oomf.

Not really "irony" but rather as others have said, they are just "throwing Chapter 1 a bone" since the work for it is already done.
Probably new Factions events are done for good now. |

actually i think that they are making the event in tyria as well because not EVERYONE maight be able to get NF on the first day, and C'mon, they realise this is THE MAIN game

i like the fact they are holding it in tryia as well as elona, because firstly it shows that there not just trying to boast there sales up high by focing everyone to but nightfall to take part on haollween and demonstrates that A-net aren't the B******s i think they can be, and secondly i might provoke growth on the servers in tryia.
